Nursery Photos!

We FINALLY finished the name signs for the girls nursery door. They turned out great! We bought the plaque, wooden shapes and letters...we then painted all the letters and painted the flowers and vines on around the edges...then varnished its all and glued it all togther. Ben and I have been doing bit by bit for the last 3 months and are happy to see it finally done.

We now have curtains and 3 of the 6 wall hangings up. The animal designs I made for the website we printed out on transfer paper and ironed onto cloth that Mom D. then embroidered onto a background which was then quilted onto a frame made from the same fabric as the chair. They are pretty cute!



Our funky new Tiny Love Symphony-in-Motion Mobile which we recieved at Jen's office shower. It plays 45 minutes of classical music (Mozart, Bach and Beethoven) and it pretty colourful and really COOL!

From babies viewpoint!

Here is our newly recovered nursery glider chair. The chair was donated to us from a friend but had an aweful 80's look to it. My mom recovered it in a nice pale green faux suede. The matching curtains are next.

The crib now has a mattress, and some bedding. So far the cats have been good and kept out of it. I don't think thwy will be a problem with the babies. We are looking into getting a crib cover just in case though.

The new cabinet Ben built, plus the change table donated to us (and although I said the cats do not go in the crib they do however like the change table. It has become Hades' new favourite spot to nap.)

March 14th

Here is the crib we bought on the weekend. We certainly had an experince building it. Check out the thoughts page for Ben's Tuesday March 14, 2006 recap of the build.

Of course no sooner do we have the crib in the room one of the cats had to check it out. Pyro was actually the first onein the crib since he was in the crib most of the time while Ben was building it!

Pyro was hanging out inside one of the "boppy" feeding pillows we have. Snuggly and warm....kitty aproved.
